Jado Village Foundation Receives Official Charter from the Government of Rwanda
On March 10, 2026, the Jado Village Foundation received its official charter from the Government of Rwanda, marking a major milestone in our journey toward supporting education and community development.

A Major Milestone for the Foundation
On March 10, 2026, the Jado Village Foundation officially received its charter from the Government of Rwanda. This recognition formally establishes the foundation as a registered charitable organization within the country and represents an important step forward in our mission to support children through education.
The charter confirms our legal status and affirms the foundation’s purpose: to remove financial barriers to education and create opportunities for children in underserved communities.
Why This Matters
Receiving our official charter is more than a symbolic achievement—it enables us to operate with full legal recognition in Rwanda. This allows us to:
- Open and maintain official bank accounts in the country
- Work directly with schools and local authorities
- Increase transparency and accountability for donors
- Expand our programs with stronger institutional support
This milestone strengthens our ability to serve the children and communities we work with and ensures that our operations meet national regulatory standards.
Opening a Bank Account with the Bank of Kigali
With the charter now approved, the foundation can proceed with opening an organizational bank account at the Bank of Kigali. This will significantly improve how we manage donations and distribute funds for school fees, supplies, and educational programs.
- Bank of Kigali account: (Bk) 100255001676 (registered under Jado Village Foundation)
Having a local bank account allows us to:
- Reduce international transfer costs
- Speed up payments to schools and service providers
- Provide clearer financial reporting and documentation
These improvements will make every donation more efficient and impactful.

Looking Ahead

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported the foundation from its early days. Your trust and encouragement made it possible to reach this milestone.
Together, we continue working toward a future where every child has access to education and the opportunity to succeed.
The certificate and charter documents are kept current and available for public review, reflecting our updated legal status and operational commitments in Rwanda.
